In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Brooks Shirey, age 48 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree domestic violence-harassment.

John Waddell, age 58 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Marty McGuire, age 68 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge of 3rd degree criminal trespass.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 90 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
