Regarding the severe weather possibility for Friday and Saturday

We’re entering another active weather pattern involving spells of
showers and thunderstorms from today into next week. Activity this
Friday and Saturday includes a severe risk. We continue to look at
Sunday though the risk remains more uncertain at this time.

FORECAST CHANGES:

Added a level 2 risk for Friday; expanded the area of the level 2 risk
for Saturday.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Where: Much of central Alabama on Friday and all of central Alabama on
Saturday.

When: Favoring the afternoon and evening hours on Friday and Saturday.

Threats: Damaging straight-line winds up to 60 mph.
