Mrs. Sarah Ann Flynt, age 78 of Mentone, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, GA.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Joe Thomas Murphy, Janet Lynn (Kevin) Todd, Elizabeth Renee (Jason) Dupree- all of Leesburg, AL, Otis Dewayne Corkren of Brilliant, AL, Terry Lane Corkren of Mentone, AL; Grandchildren, Megan Leigh-ann Corkren, James Lexton (Natalie) Corkren, Paige Wilbanks, Kobe Harrell, Alexis Slayton; Great grandchildren, Sydney Marie and Savanna Brooke Keener; Siblings, George “Buck” (Lila) Bolton (Winfield, LA), Marylon (Tommy) Williams, ClairRene Walker (Marlon, TX).
A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Sarah was a native of Winfield, LA, and born to the late George Randall Bolton and Eunice B. Grice Bolton Billings. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, and loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas- it was her favorite! Mrs. Flynt loved nothing more than spoiling her two great grandchildren, Sydney and Savanna. Spending time with her babies always cheered her up. When she wasn’t at home enjoying her hobbies or grandchildren, you could guarantee she was out finding the best yardsale deals or singing karaoke.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George Bolton and Eunice Billings; Step-father, Willie Billings; Sisters, Juanita Bolton Brewer, Texana Billings, Nancy Jane Gribble, Betty Ann Glover; Brothers, William “Cotton” Billings and Leslie “Manny” Billings.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Diabetic Organizations in Sarah’s name.
