In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Joseph Maxwell, age 54 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal littering.

Rickey Sentell, age 39 of Jacksonville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge of 4th degree theft of property.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 107 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
