During the Collinsville Town Council Meeting Monday afternoon, City Clerk, Jill Tidmore, told the Council the Mayor would give notice of the upcoming Municipal Election and the Council Members would have 14 days to qualify for re-election if they wish to. June 24th will the cut-off date for qualification for the Mayor and Council Seats.
Jennifer Wilkins, Librarian, informed the Council the plant sale was a great success raising $1930 for the Library.
Councilman David Bowen who is also the Fire Chief, proposed the City purchase a group of safety cones to be used for the Fire Department and the Police Department and any other use they have a need for at a cost of $425. He also included in his proposal, the purchase of two battery operated DeWalt brand chainsaws from Tyler Farms at a cost of $1100 with the City paying half and the fire department paying half. The measure was approved.
The next meeting of the Collinsville City Council is June 2nd at 5pm.
