The driver of a 18-wheel truck apparently lost control of the vehicle as it traveled on Alabama Highway 35 near Watson’s Crossroads before running off the roadway.
The mishap caused damage to electrical property requiring crews from Cherokee Electric to respond to repair the damages.
Additionally, there was some fuel leakage from the rig.
The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 141, approximately 6 miles north of Gaylesville.
The Broomtown Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers responded to the call.
