Survivors include his son, Jeff Adcock (Laura Williams) of Piedmont; daughter, Angla Battles (Phil) of Sand Rock; three grandchildren, Megan Watkins (Rod), Ashley Watts (Mike) and Brian Adams; two great-grandchildren, Ellery Watkins and Weston Adams; son-in-law, Wayne Adams of Cropwell; one sister, Joyce Sanders of Rock Stand; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Phil Battles, Roderick Watkins, Mike Watts, Brian Adams, Jay Jordan, and Johnny Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Adcock was born August 25, 1936 to Curtis and Charlene Adcock.
He was raised on a farm at Rock Stand in Randolph County and was a 1955 graduate of Randolph County High School. Mr. Adcock, who always worked hard to support his family, had worked as a water shed inspector with the Soil Conservation Service, was the Superintendent for Coley Brothers Construction Company, was manager at Singleton’s green houses and was a salesman for Floracan Inc. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and tractors and loved working on antique clocks. Mr. Adcock was a member of the Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he loved the Lord and was an avid supporter of the Alabama School of Gospel Music. Mr. Adcock is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Adcock; daughter, Tamara Adams; and his parents, Curtis and Charlene Adcock.
