“We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Officer Deborah Overby (retired), who served the Rainbow City Police Department with honor and dedication from November 30th, 2005 to February 1st, 2017 in various roles, including school resource officer.Deborah passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Her years of service left a lasting impact on our department and the community she protected so faithfully.Deborah will be remembered not only for her commitment to public safety but also for the kindness, integrity, and compassion she carried with her daily. Deborah was a great example of community-oriented policing.Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this time.
