Fort Payne Man Arrested After Being Caught Spying Under Mobile Home
On Sunday, April 27th, around 9:12 PM, the Fort Payne Police Department responded to a call reporting a man being detained by a group of residents who had surrounded his vehicle to prevent him from leaving. Officers arrested 40-year-old Anibal Eleodoro Diaz Domingo of Fort Payne at the scene for driving under the influence (DUI).
Further investigation revealed Domingo had been caught crawling out from underneath an occupied mobile home, prompting additional charges of Burglary in the 2nd Degree and Aggravated Criminal Surveillance. A woman at the home complained he was watching her from the crawl space. He was initially booked at the Fort Payne City Jail and then transferred to the DeKalb County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $15,000.
A detainer has also been placed on Domingo by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
