Strong To Severe Weather Threat for Thursday

The National  Weather Service Forecast Office in Birmingham has issued a Severe Weather Threat for North Central Alabama for Thursday afternoon and evening.

OVERVIEW:

  • There is a level 1 to 2 risk, out of 5, for severe storms on Thursday.
  • There is now a level 1 out of 5 risk for severe storms on Friday as well.
 

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Where: Northwest of the I-85 corridor.
  • When: Thursday afternoon and evening from 4 PM to 10 PM.
  • Threats: Damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter size-hail.
