Marshall County, AL — A Scottsboro man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of rape following a recent grand jury indictment.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old James Swearengin was taken into custody on April 25, 2025, and booked into the Marshall County Jail on six felony counts of rape.
