Leesburg – Multi-Vehicle Accident Causes Major Delays on US 411

Traffic was significantly disrupted in Leesburg on Tuesday following a multi-vehicle accident on the Leesburg Bridge along U.S. Highway 411. The crash occurred late Tuesday afternoon, blocking both northbound lanes for an extended period and reducing southbound traffic to a single lane.

One of the vehicles involved came to rest on the bridge railing, prompting a response from emergency personnel. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Leesburg Fire Department, Leesburg Police, and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
