VESTER RANDOLPH SR.

VESTER RANDOLPH SR. OBITUARY

In Loving Memory of Vester Lee Randolph, Sr.

August 25, 1942 – April 25, 2025

In the quiet hush of an Alabama evening, as the sun bows low beyond the
hills of Centre, a noble soul has crossed from this life into eternity.
Vester Lee Randolph, Sr., was born on August 25, 1942, in Chatsworth,
Georgia, where the soft winds tell stories of old.

Eighty-two seasons passed over Vester, each one weaving into the next a
life of honest labor, simple pleasures, and abiding love for the land
and its people. His hands, seasoned from years of toil in the textile
mills of Mohawk Industries. His heart, ever generous, beat in rhythm
with the steady, enduring grace of the Baptist faith that shaped him.

Vester found joy in the plain yet profound delights of this world. He
was a fisherman, patient as the river. Yard sales called to him like old
friends. And when the day’s labors were done, you might find him at
Beans and Greens restaurant, where the food was hearty and the
fellowship warm. He loved the outdoors—whether it was the shimmer of
morning dew upon grass or the steadfast song of the evening crickets.

Those who remain to carry forward his memory are his sons, Benjamin
Jason Randolph, Vester Lee Randolph Jr., and Billy Abernathy, his
brother-in-law, CJ Jablonski, niece Stacey Cox, nephew Lee Cox,
great-nephews Tony Powell, Gabe Marie, Luke Marie, brother Sanford
Randolph along with his cherished grandchildren Dawson Randolph and
Taylor Randolph and his Special Friend, Jan King, better known as, (
Sweet Pea ) Preceding him in rest are his parents Emmie Scott Randolph
and Thurman Jack Randolph, his wife Dorathy Marie Randolph, son David
LeHugh Randolph and brother Sam Randolph.

To honor Vester’s life, a Friend’s and Family service will be held at
Good Shepards Funeral Home Chapel on April 29th from 6pm – 8pm. The
funeral Service will be held at Good Shepards Funeral Home Chapel on
April 30th at 2pm. There will be no procession to the grave site. All
are welcome to meet at the grave site at Noah Baptist Church in Centre,

well. Those chosen to carry him to his place of rest will be Tony
Gaddison, Billy Abernathy, Tony Powell, Luke Marie, Gabe Marie, C.J.
Jablonski, and James Humphrey, Jr., with James Hudgins serving as

during this tender passage, entrusted with the care of a man whose life,
though simple in telling, was rich in living.
