Tractor Trailer Crash Shuts Down AL Highway 35 Near Gaylesville

Gaylesville, AL – A single-vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer occurred Thursday on AL Highway 35, just east of Gaylesville. The crash took place near County Road 647 between the four-way stop and the intersection with AL Highway 9, leading to a road closure that lasted nearly four hours.

According to reports, the tractor trailer veered off the roadway and went down an embankment, sustaining significant damage. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was injured in the crash and transported to Atrium Floyd for medical treatment. The driver’s current condition remains unknown.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
