SAND ROCK – Emma Sipsy went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and three RBIs to lead the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to an 11-1 softball win over Fyffe in five innings on Thursday.
Macy Martin was also 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI. Alyvia McMichen doubled, walked and had two RBIs.
Aliyah King contributed a hit, a walk and a run. Molly Grace Lay added a hit, a run and two RBIs. Maddie Clanton had a hit and a run.
Aubie Camp walked and scored a run. Addisyn McMichen drove in a run. Taylyn Warren and Raven Todd both scored a run.
Martin earned the win after working three inning. She allowed no runs on two hits with no walks and three strikeouts. Sipsy tossed two innings and gave up an earned run on a hit with no walks and a pair of strikeouts.
Sand Rock takes on Cedar Bluff on Monday at 3 p.m. in the Class 2A, Area 13 Tournament at Pleasant Valley.
