Throughout the month of April, Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is proud to shine a spotlight on the outstanding leaders who work tirelessly to protect and serve our community. Join us as we recognize the dedication, experience, and leadership of public safety professionals across Cherokee County.
Today, we are honored to highlight Tuckers Chapel Fire Chief Michael Bearden.
Michael Bearden is a seasoned fire service professional with over 17 years of dedicated experience at Tuckers Chapel Fire Department, where he has served the last eight years as Fire Chief. Under his leadership, the department has advanced its training standards, strengthened mutual aid partnerships, and enhanced its commitment to public safety and community engagement.
Chief Bearden holds Firefighter I and II certifications and has completed a comprehensive suite of NIMS (National Incident Management System) courses, including IS-100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800. His extensive training reflects a strong foundation in both hands-on emergency response and strategic incident command.
Known for his calm leadership, operational expertise, and dedication to mentoring younger firefighters, Chief Bearden continues to be a driving force in improving emergency services in Cherokee County and beyond. His career is marked by a steadfast commitment to service, safety, and community resilience.
