Artie Rayburn Mackey, age 86 of Leesburg, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, April 12th, 2025.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 on May 17th, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was survived by his wife, Terry Rhinehart Mackey; son, Mark (Jennifer) Mackey; daughter, Traci (Bob) Whestine; sister, Marcia (Pat) Wadsworth; grandchildren, Lance Whestine, Amy Mackey (Sam) Carenza, Seth A. Mackey, Emily Mackey (Race) Clausen; Garyn Sharpe, and Hope Mackey; great grandchildren, Luca Carenza and Ayla Carenza; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law also remain; special friends, Jerrell and Debbie Brady; special pets, Pretty Boy and Pretty Girl.
He was preceded in death by his son, Barry Ray Mackey.
Mr. Mackey was the son of the late Artie and Eva Tolbert Mackey. He retired as a general laborer for GE and attended Old Nazareth Baptist Church. He was very proud of his ’67 Cougar and loved gardening and spending time with family and friends.
