Four-run sixth lifts Lady Warriors past White Plains

CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and rallied past White Plains 4-2 in Class 4A, Area 12 softball action on Thursday.

Auburn Mullins delivered a two-run single to tie the game at 2. She finished 2-for 3 at the plate with two RBIs. Emma Hill, Sydni Frost and Kaylee Lewis each contributed hits for the fifth-ranked Lady Warriors (20-4).

Hill also earned the win in the circle. She gave up a pair of runs on three hits with two walks and 12 strikeouts.

Cherokee County hosts Cleburne County on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
