Three People Rescued From Flooding in Summerville

A Water Rescue was preformed to rescue people in Summerville, Ga on Monday Evening.  The Chattooga Water Rescue Unit and the Community Emergency Response Team were able to rescue three people stranded by flood waters.

A Man had driven his truck too close to the creek, and got stranded in flood waters at the Dry Creek Trail Head.

He and two women who were also stranded since that morning, were rescued by the crews on Monday Evening.

“A big THANK YOU to Chattooga Water Rescue and the CERT team. They responded this evening to a call to assist a male, female and elderly female who has been stuck on the far side of the creek at the Dry Creek Trailhead since early yesterday morning. The male was alone when he found he had pulled too far into the water and couldn’t back out. The elderly female was transported to a local hospital to be checked because of medical issues Always….Always….remember “TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN”
