JACKSONVILLE – Avery Steward went 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles, three runs and two RBIs, and Maggie Jarrett was 3-for-3 – all doubles – with a run and three RBIs in Spring Garden’s 13-1 area softball win at Jacksonville Christian on Tuesday.

Addie Word went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and a RBI. Helena Ingram also had a pair of hits, including a double, with a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Kylie Bates collected a hit, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Layla Ingram contributed a hit, a run and two RBIs. Rylie Ham had a hit and a run. Lilly McCain finished with a hit and Olivia Law drove in a run.

McCain also earned the win in the circle. She tossed 4 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on two hits with two walks and five strikeouts.

Spring Garden hosts Gaylesville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
