Mr. Richie Grimes, age 40 of Mentone, passed away Wednesday, April 02, 2025 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Friday, April 11th at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Eldridge officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his parents, Allan and Laura Keith; Siblings, Jeremy (Amanda) Shutters, Chianne (Cody) Lambert; Nephews, Liam, Luke, Copelan, Theo, and Branch; Several other special family members also survive.
Richie was known by many to be a strong willed and free spirited man with a huge heart for his family and friends. The love he had for his nephews, especially, was unmatched. He was their number one fan and biggest protector, always making sure the boys were taken care of. Mr. Grimes enjoyed driving his Peterbilt 18 wheeler and listening to his favorite old time country and classic rock music- bands like AC/DC, Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Bon Jovi, to name a few.
He is preceded in death by his uncle, Brad Grimes, and aunt, Paula Mitchell.
The family requests flowers be sent to the funeral home.
