GADSDEN – Sand Rock wrapped up play in the Gadsden Umpires Softball Tournament on Saturday with three games. The Lady Wildcats lost to Etowah 11-2, defeated Gadsden City 12-3, and fell to Lincoln 13-1.
In the loss to Etowah, Aubie Camp and Aliyah King both doubled. Camp also drove in a run.
Macy Martin had a hit and scored a run. Kinzlee Peek contributed a hit. Taylyn Warren walked and scored a run. Faith Bobo drove in a run.
Peek suffered the loss after tossing two innings. She gave up five earned runs on six hits with three walks and a pair of strikeouts.
In the win over Gadsden City, Molly Grace Lay went 2-for-2 with a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Maddie Clanton and Raven Todd were both 1-for-2 with two runs. Clanton also drove in a run. Martin had a hit and a run.
Aliyah King walked twice, scored a run and drove in one. Aubie Camp drove in three runs and scored twice. Addisyn McMichen walked twice, scored a run and drove in one. Warren walked, scored a run and drove in one.
Martin earned the win after tossing three innings. She gave up an earned run on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
In the loss to Lincoln, Camp was 2-for-2 with a run. Todd had the only other Sand Rock hit. Maddie Clanton had a RBI.
