Collinsville softball rallies past Sylvania

COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Lady Panthers rallied from a six-run deficit in the bottom of the seventh, scoring seven runs to earn a 15-14 area softball win over visiting Sylvania on Friday.

Bella Wills led the Lady Panthers at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two runs and five RBIs. Jemma Smith went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run and two RBIs. Karly Middlebrooks was also 3-for-5 with a run and a RBI.

Maelee Barkley went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Aubrey Reeves was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.

Ella Coker doubled and scored a run. Gabriella Whitmore collected a hit, a walk, a run and two RBIs. Lexii Burt earned a walk and scored two runs. Chloe DeBoard finished with a walk.

Barkley tossed three innings and surrendered six earned runs on eight hits with two walks. Smith worked four innings and gave up one earned run on eight hits with no walks and three strikeouts.

Collinsville hosts Geraldine on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
