GLENCOE – Molly Grace Lay and Macy Martin both collected a pair of hits, and Emma Sipsy homered to help the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats earn a 10-4 softball win at Glencoe on Thursday.
Lay went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and two RBIs. Martin was 2-for-5 with a pair of runs. Sipsy scored three runs and had three RBIs.
Raven Todd doubled, walked and drove in a pair of runs. Maddie Clanton contributed a hit, a run and a RBI. Alyvia McMichen had a hit and a run. Aliyah King came away with a pair of walks and a run. Taylyn Warren walked and scored a run.
Martin also earned the win in the circle after working 5 2/3 innings. She gave up just one earned run on two hits with three walks and a strikeout. Sipsy tossed 1 1/3 innings without giving up a hit. She also had a strikeout.
Sand Rock plays in the Gadsden Umpires Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
