CEDAR BLUFF, AL – Bill Warren has officially declared his candidacy for Mayor of Cedar Bluff, bringing decades of leadership and public service experience to the table. Warren has dedicated his life to making a lasting impact on his community and the industries he has served. With an extensive career spanning firefighting, business, and community development, his work exemplifies dedication, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. As Chairman of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, Warren has been a driving force in strengthening the local economy, supporting businesses and agriculture—the backbone of Cherokee County’s economic growth.
“I believe in having an honest and transparent government,” said Warren. “As mayor, I will commit to providing a variety of ways for our residents to stay informed about the city’s activities.”
Warren acknowledges that meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight—especially in a smaller community like Cedar Bluff. He understands that visionary leadership requires strategic planning. “My background in business has taught me how to develop a vision and create a plan to achieve it,” he said. He outlined his priorities, including improving public safety, enhancing quality of life, and addressing critical infrastructure needs.
Beyond his role with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, Warren has held numerous leadership positions in community service. He has served as Vice President of the Pediatric Burn Foundation of America and as a board member for the Cedar Bluff Utility Board and Alabama One Credit Union. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in shaping fire service and private investigation policies across Alabama.
“I simply want to be a mayor who listens to the people and makes Cedar Bluff a place where everyone is proud to live. From our beautiful lakefront properties to our outstanding schools, we have so much to be thankful for—yet, there is still work to be done. I hope to have the honor of leading our community in these efforts.”
The City of Cedar Bluff’s municipal elections will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
