Lady Warriors rally past Spring Garden 7-6

SPRING GARDEN – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning and held on to take a 7-6 softball win at Spring Garden on Tuesday.

Izzy Patterson led the Lady Warriors at the plate with a 3-for-3 performance, including a home run, two runs and three RBIs. Brooklynn Bruce went 3-for-4 with two runs. Sofie Dawson was 2-for-4 with a double and a run.

Bristol Bass had a hit, a run and two RBIs. Auburn Mullins also had a hit with a run. Emma Hill finished with a hit and two RBIs.

Hill also earned the win in the circle. She gave up an earned run on a pair of hits with a walk and 15 strikeouts.

Maggie Jarrett led the Lady Panthers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, a run and three RBIs. Layla Ingram doubled, drove in a run and scored a run. Helena Ingram and Addie Word both doubled and scored a run.

Avery Steward had a hit and scored two runs. She also suffered the loss after giving up seven earned runs on 11 hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

Spring Garden hosts Cedar Bluff on Thursday beginning at 4:30 p.m. Cherokee County plays in the Gadsden Umpires Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
