JACKSONVILLE – Collin Hendon tossed a three-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts. He also walked twice, stole two bases and scored the game’s lone run in the top of the first inning in Gaylesville’s 1-0 Class 1A, Area 12 baseball win at Jacksonville Christian on Tuesday.

Hunter Allmond, Landon Chumbler, Bradlee Smith and Hayden Dodd each had a hit for the Trojans.

Jesse Gannaway suffered the loss for the Thunder. He gave up an unearned run on four hits with three walks and also had 15 strikeouts.

The two teams finish their series on Thursday at Gaylesville beginning at 4 p.m.
