Mrs. Hazel Ayer, age 84 of Centre, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at
Cherokee County Health & Rehab.

The family will host a private memorial service at a later date.

Survivors include her daughters, Susie (Frank) Prill and Joyce (Dale) Smith; Grandsons,
Justin (Brandy) Smith and Shawn (Kristen) Prill; Grandchildren, Camden, Hoke, Shaylie,
Olivia, Trace, Emma, and Lilly; Sisters, Louise Blankenship and Joan Morgan; Several
Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Mrs. Ayer was a native of Florida, having grown up on a dairy farm her whole life. She was
preceded in death by her husband Max Ayer, Brothers, Thomas Lewis and Bobby Lewis,
Sisters Frances Ponder and Elizabeth Roberts and grandson Joshua Smith.

She loved to cook and was a devoted family woman. She was a CNA and was known for her lively
personality.
