It is with heavy hearts, the staff of WEIS Radio announces the passing of Johnny Allen, better known to WEIS Radio listeners as News Director Marc Summers.

Following an extended illness, Marc passed away peacefully this morning (Wednesday) at his residence in the Chattoogaville Community.

Marc was a long-time radio personality, heard on the airwaves of Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia, with much of that time spent here at WEIS. He will be dearly missed by many.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
