Cherokee County Commission Appropriates $462,500 For Board of Education

During the County Commission Meeting Monday afternoon, the commission entered into an executive session to discuss three items, one being the sale or purchase of property. When they reconvened the regular meeting, a motion was made to approve the proposed agreement with the Board of Education for the purchase of property.

That property is located at 200 Armory Road with the building and property with an adjacent lot with a purchase price of $925,000. According to the agreement this will be for the Board of Education’s Offices. They are now housed in a County owned building at 130 East Main Street.

The Agreement will now be sent to the Board of Education for the final approval.
