Cedar Bluff outlasts Donoho in wild area baseball game 23-15

ANNISTON – Jacob Chambers collected four hits, including a double, and drove in five runs, while Isaac Bishop delivered three hits, including a double, and drove in four runs to help the Cedar Bluff Tigers outlast Donoho 23-15 in area baseball action on Thursday.

The eighth-ranked Tigers out-hit the Falcons 15-11. They held a 12-1 lead in the third inning before Donoho attempted to rally. The Falcons scored seven runs in the bottom half of the third to get back in the game, trailing 12-8.

Hunter Stallings earned the win after allowing four earned runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts over three innings.

Kuper Bradley tossed four innings in relief. He gave up three earned runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Bubba Chadwick, Bryson Teague and Bradley also came away with multiple hits for Cedar Bluff. Samson Mallett walked three times.

Cedar Bluff hosts Weaver on Monday.
