Spring Garden baseball rallies past Section 13-4

SPRING GARDEN – Connor Bates collected three hits, including a double, with a run and two RBIs as the Spring Garden Panthers rallied from a three-run deficit in the bottom of the third inning to take a 13-4 baseball win on Tuesday.

Zane Edwards added a pair of hits, including a triple. He also walked. Johnny Baker and Hunter Parris both delivered a pair of hits and scored a run. Parris also drove in a run.

Clayton Sadler tripled, walked, scored two runs and had a RBI. Joel Hunter doubled, walked and scored a run. Gray Simpson delivered a hit, a run and three RBIs. Hayes Garmon had a hit, two walks and a RBI. Carson Bostick contributed a hit, a walk and a RBI.

John Welsh scored three runs and Brady Ruark scored twice. Kaylor Free scored a run.

Bates worked three innings on the mound for the Panthers (8-5). He allowed two earned runs on two hits with five walks and no strikeouts. Edwards tossed four innings of three-hit ball with a walk and seven strikeouts.

Spring Garden hosts Dora and Weaver on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
