HEFLIN – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors pounded out 25 hits in a 15-2 softball win at Cleburne County on Tuesday.

Sofie Dawson and Izzy Patterson led the way with four hits, including a double apiece for the Lady Warriors (12-2). Emma Hill, Sydni Frost, Kar’Leigh Bowman, Journie Cabe, Kaylee Lewis and Brooklyn Bruce each collected multiple hits. One of Lewis’ hits was a double and one of Bruce’s hits was a triple.

Hill tossed two no-hit innings with six strikeouts to earn the win. Bristol Bass pitched four innings in relief and allowed two runs on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts.

Cherokee County is scheduled to host Sylvania on Friday at 5 p.m.
