Cedar Bluff baseball blanks Donoho 6-0

CEDAR BLUFF – Cedar Bluff’s Kolwyn Morrison and Caleb Edmondson combined to pitch a shutout against visiting Donoho in area baseball action on Tuesday. The final was 6-0.

Morrison started the game and allowed just two hits over two innings with a walk and five strikeouts before leaving with a rib injury.

Edmondson picked up where Morrison left off, tossing five innings of relief. He also allowed just a pair of hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

Dylan McDaniel gave the Tigers the early lead by driving in a run in the first inning. Kuper Bradley made it 2-0 by driving in a run in the third.

The Tiger offense scored four more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Bubba Chadwick, who went 2-for-3 at the plate, delivered a two-run single. Bradley and McDaniel also drove in a run apiece in the inning.

The two teams finish their series on Thursday at Donoho beginning at 4:30 p.m.
