Ribbon Cutting for Women’s Imaging Suite Held Thursday

Centre, Al- Atrium Floyd Cherokee Medical Center officially opened the All New State of the Art Women’s Imaging Suite Thursday with elected officials, members of the community, staff members and Officials from Atrium, and the Cherokee Chamber in attendance.

The one million dollar investment at the Cherokee Campus provides access to those needing mammograms and bone density scans. The machines are the latest technology which provides the services with a report provided to the patient within 24 hours. Most are learning of the results with a much less time frame but the promise within 24 hours is their commitment to their patients.

People can call the Atrium Floyd Cherokee Medical Center to schedule an appointment and not have to travel out of town. The Women’s Suite has been operational for just over a month and have provided 150 mammogram screenings and fortunately no cancer was found in any of those screenings.
