COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Panthers completed an area baseball sweep of Geraldine on Wednesday. The scores were 10-0 and 3-1.
In the first game, Shaun Stewart went 2-for-2 with a run, a walk and two RBIs for the Panthers. Gavin Lang was 1-for-2 with two walks, a run and three RBIs. Will Edmondson blasted a home run and had a walk. Jameson Coker contributed a single, a pair of walks, three runs and two RBIs. Jake Middlebrooks also walked twice.
Zach Clanton claimed the win, allowing no runs on one hit with two walks and eight strikeouts over five innings.
In the second game, Jeremiah Killian belted a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie. Rajuess Rooks added a hit and two stolen bases. Clanton and Sylas Adams both finished with a hit. Adams also scored a pair of runs.
Braxton Daugherty earned the win after allowing no runs on two hits with no walks and a strikeout in 3 1/3 innings. Coker started the game for the Panthers and allowed an earned run on four hits with two walks in 3 2/3 innings.
