A structure fire was reported at approximately 12:45 pm on Monday (today) at 1045 County Road 69 in the Piney community of Centre.

A witness recalled hearing an explosion and saw a mobile home engulfed in flames.

The structure was totally destroyed by the fire; however firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.  Centre Fire, Cedar Bluff Fire, Spring Creek Fire and Atrium Floyd EMS responded to the call.

WEIS Radio News spoke with Centre Fire Marshal Robert Pace. Mr. Pace told WEIS Radio News no one was inside the structure at the time of the fire. We will update this story as it develops.
