The Trion Fire Department responded Monday to a woods fire threatening a structure.
Alabama and Georgia are both under Wind Advisories and burning of any kind is currently strongly discouraged.
From the Triton Fire Department:
“Engines 12-R, 9, and 4 were dispatched to the Back Penn Road area in Summerville, responding to reports of a woods fire with potential risks to a nearby structure. Upon arrival, firefighters found a woods fire that had spread into an outbuilding and a camper. Firefighters swiftly set up attack lines and successfully extinguished the fires.
