Mr. Gary “Mack” Eads, age 74 of Centre, passed away Saturday, March 01, 2025 at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, March 5 at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Joe Witcher, Brandon Bishop, and Charles Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Smith Eads; Son, Gary “Mackey” (Susan) Eads Jr.; Daughters, Tonya Eads (Keith) Hill, Amanda Eads (Joe) Humphrey; Grandchildren, Taylor Eads (Austin) Mallett, Madison Hunter (Caleb) Pendleton, Griffin “Blake” Eads, Bailey Scott Hunter, Gracie LeighAnn Hunter, Jacob Mack (Natalie) Hunter, and Jack Hill; Great grandchildren, Isaac, Amelia, and Roden Mallett, Aravyn, Lennon, Emberleigh, and Addy Jo Pendleton, Sawyer Hunter; Brothers, Kenneth “Kenny” (Deborah) Eads, Douglas “Doug” (Vickie) Eads; Sister, Gloria Jane (Gene) Reed; Several nieces and nephews.
The crew at Eads Collision Auto Repair will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Mack and Betty were proudly married for 55 years. Mack was a devoted family man with a deep love for children, especially his grandchildren. He loved to cut up and have a good time with everyone he came in contact with. Mr. Eads was the co-owner of Eads Collision and Auto Repair in Centre.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillie Eads; Brother, James “Jimmy” Robert Eads; Sister, Wanda Faye Eads Wood.
