Warrior baseball splits at Spring Garden

SPRING GARDEN – The Cherokee County Warriors split a pair of baseball games at Spring Garden on Saturday. They fell a run short to Woodland 2-1 and earned a 12-2 victory over Spring Garden.

In the loss to Woodland, Nate Black went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a run for the Warriors. Carson Tittle and Aiden Bobbitt both finished with a double. Case Hill had a RBI.

Ben Elsberry gave up an earned run on four hits in 5 1/3 innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

Adam Griffith tossed two innings of one-hit ball. He gave up a walk and an unearned run with two strikeouts.

Against Spring Garden, Parker Wilson struck out 11 Panthers in six innings to earn the win. He gave up an earned run on four hits with a walk.

Griffith tossed an inning and gave up two unearned runs with three walks.

Griffith, Tittle, Bobbitt and Evan Hill each had a pair of hits. Griffith scored three runs and had a RBI. Tittle tallied two runs. Bobbitt walked, drove in a pair of runs and scored a run. Evan Hill walked and scored a run.

Wilson and Case Hill both had a hit and scored a run apiece. Case Hill also drove in a pair of runs.

Cherokee County hosts Glencoe on Tuesday.
