One of the items on the agenda of the most recent Centre City Council meeting involved passing a resolution to declare a property located at 275 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre as a public nuisance.

The Property, which is owned by Ellis Golden, is at the old Jordan Funeral Home location, and sits directly across from the Cherokee County Administrative Building.

The property contains old tractors, trucking equipment, and vehicles, which is considered an eye sore by many.

This resolution would allow for Mr. Ellis to be served with paper work, requiring him to clean up the property in a process that could eventually lead through the courts.

We spoke with Mr. Ellis since the resolution was passed, and he told WEIS radio, this was the first he had heard of the matter, and that at the time we had spoken with him, he had not received anything related to the property.
