From the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency:
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Marine Patrol Division and Cherokee County EMA will host Boating Basics Course this Saturday.
Registration is still open for this course, the registration form has been posted below.
The next course will be this Saturday, March, 1st from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Classes will be held in the Cherokee County EMA Office inside the Cherokee County Administration Building located at 260 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre.
This class is designed for ages 12 and up. Children under the age of 12 are not eligible to take the exam. Anyone under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. This class is being offered free of charge.
You will need to bring a notepad and something to write with. Please make sure you have your driver’s license with you or your social security number if you don’t have a driver’s license. If you just need a refresher you can attend one of these courses as well.
This class is being presented by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and hosted by the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency.
