Gaylesville’s Hendon baffles Valley Head

VALLEY HEAD – Collin Hendon allowed an unearned run on two hits with no walks and 16 strikeouts in leading the Gaylesville Trojans to an 11-1 baseball win at Valley Head on Saturday.

Hendon also walked three times, scored a run and drove in another at the plate for the Trojans (1-3).

Cole Hendon led the Trojans at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs. Alex Baty was 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Hunter Allmond added a hit and two runs.

Jared Butts walked twice and scored a run. Timmy Dawson walked and drove in a run. Chase Mohler, Landon Chumbler and Bryson Thompson each walked and scored a run. Thompson and Bradlee Smith both drove in a run.

Gaylesville is scheduled to play at Chattooga, Ga., on Monday.
