A vehicle accident with entrapment was reported yesterday in the area of Center Post Road at Giles Road, near the bridge, where a vehicle has entered the water.

Teloga Engine 11, Trion Engine 12-R, and Hays Engine 4, along with Artium Health Floyd EMS, Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Trion Police Department, and Chattooga County Swift Water Team, responded to the incident.

Upon arrival, responders discovered a single vehicle on its side in the creek, with water inside and a patient trapped. Emergency personnel, aided by a community member, quickly freed the patient and placed them in a stokes basket, secured with a rope system, before safely removing them from the scene.
