CENTRE – Emma Eberhart went 3-for-4 at the plate and Emma Hill tossed a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts to lead the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 10-0 season-opening softball win over Tuesday.
Hill also had a pair of hits at the plate for the Lady Warriors (1-0).
Izzy Patterson put Cherokee County on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run single. The Lady Warriors tacked on a run in the second and two more in the third on a two-run double by Auburn Mullins. Sydni Frost singled and scored a run to help give Cherokee County a 5-0 advantage.
Patterson and Mullins both drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Warriors.
Lacey Grace Hall and Makenna Bennich both had a hit for Hokes Bluff.
