Cherokee County Arrest Files for Wednesday, February 19

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Kelia Crider, age 42 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

David Mize, age 67 of Silver Creek, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and harboring a fugitive.

Jamie Ball, age 34 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and revoked bond.

Tracy Cowan, age 54 of Silver Creek, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing justice false ID.

Michael Smart, age 48 of Mentone, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of trafficking Fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana. 

Nickolas Downey, age 24 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of domestic violence-simple assault.

Richard McIntyre, age 54 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge of 3rd degree theft of property.

Samantha Jackson, age 43 of LaFayette, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of trafficking of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and tampering with evidence.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 122 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
