Cedar Bluff baseball off to 4-0 start after outlasting Geraldine 19-14

The Cedar Bluff Tigers are off to a 4-0 start to their baseball season, with the latest win a 19-14 victory over Geraldine on Tuesday.

Hunter Stallings led the Tigers with four hits, including an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning. He finished the game driving in seven runs. He also belted a two-run double in the fourth, and had run-scoring singles in the second and third.

The Tigers tallied 15 hits in the game.

Kuper Bradley also had four hits at the plate, including a double, with a run and three RBIs. Caleb Edmondson collected a pair of hits, including a double, and scored five runs. Samson Mallett had a hit, walked four times, scored twice and drove in two runs. Dylan McDaniel delivered a hit, four walks and four runs.

Jacob Chambers contributed a hit, a run and four RBIs. Isaac Bishop doubled, walked and drove in a run. Bubba Chadwick came away with a hit, a walk, a run and two RBIs.

Kolwyn Morrison earned the win on the mound after working three innings. He allowed six earned runs on three hits with four walks and five strikeouts.

Chambers pitched four innings in relief. He gave up four earned runs on seven hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Cedar Bluff opened its season last Friday with a 13-8 win over Section. Stallings drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Tigers. He also earned the win on the mound after allowing no runs on just three hits over two innings. He struck out three and walked one.

The Tigers earned a pair of wins on Monday, an 8-6 decision at Glencoe and a 14-4 victory over Wellborn.

In the win over Glencoe, Stallings went 3-for-3 at the plate. Morrison, Chambers and Bradley each drove in two runs for Cedar Bluff. Edmondson earned the win after allowing four earned runs on two hits over four innings. He struck out eight and walked six.

Against Wellborn, Chambers went 4-for-5 at the plate with a pair of doubles. Fischer Young earned the win after allowing two earned runs on three hits over four innings. He finished with five walks and three strikeouts.

Cedar Bluff is scheduled to play at West End on Friday.
