Mr Sammy Scott, 73, of Centre passed away Saturday, February 15, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 7 pm Wednesday, February 19th at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Jennings officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Witt, Ricky Witt, Nathan Scott, Casey Scott, Kevin Crane, Aaron Dobbins, Stephen Dobbins, Steven Swafford, Phillip Witt, and Jimmy Scott.
Survivors include his sons, Rodney (Christy) Scott, Greg Scott; Daughter & niece, Susan (Chris) Miller; Sister, Margie (Roy) Crane; Grandchildren, Skyler Barkley, Aaron (Tamara) Dobbins, Stephen Dobbins, Grayson Richardson, Rick Jennings and Adam Jennings; Great Grandchildren, Emileigh Dobbins and Copelan Dobbins; Special friends, Coby and Sandy McNeal; Several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by wife, Becky Smith Scott; Sister, Johnnie Faye Levandowski; Brothers, Bobby, Joe Benny, Jamie and Allen.
Mr. Scott was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Clifford and Edna Scott. He was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan and an avid fisherman. He loved his dogs, Peewee and Jake.
