News Note on WEIS Website

News Note on WEIS Website:

We just wanted to touch base and make sure you were getting the best benefit from our website and talk a little about how we report news.

If you are familiar with the site: https://weisradio.com/ you already know that we divide our news into different categories to help you find and locate the news you want to see. Most of you are probably familiar with and see our local news often. News from surrounding areas outside of Cherokee County is often filed into the area news page. We recently added a state news page as well. A lot information relevant to the area, falls more into the category of state news. This makes it a little more simple to organize stories. If you only view local news, it is possible you will miss a story that may interest you in area, or state news, or one of our other categories. The best way to assure you are getting all the information you want, is to click on each page individually. Of course if there is relevant breaking news, we will post it as such, and it will be pinned to a place it is easy to see on the site. Our coverage are covers multiple counties, and inside of two states.

The site is easy to navigate. If you are looking for news, just go to the webpage, hover above news, and a drop down menu will appear. Simply click the category of news you wish to see, and you will be taken to that page.

The Same is true for sports:

Sometimes, a story may appear on more than one page of the site. I hope this helps you find what you are looking for. Some stories will also be shared onto our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/weisradio but not all. It is always best to  come to the website as well.

We are limited on time with what stories make it on air, we cannot possibly air every story on the newscast. So there will be more news on the website each day, than what you hear on the air. Often times in the stories you hear on air, we will direct you to the web site. This is a way to include much more detailed information, and often times links related to the story.

Also to note, often a story is published or aired as it is breaking or soon after. Always check back, if more information becomes available, that story will be added to to reflect the updates, and more information may be available than when the story was first published.

If you do not already have it, you can get our app on the Google or Apple Stores, and can listen live there. You can also listen live from the website anywhere in the world. Just Click the Listen Live tab.

We want to the best we can in bringing you area and local news, and keep you up to date on the happenings in the area. We are always open to feedback and ideas.
