Cherokee County Weather Update – Tuesday, February 11, 2025 (Posted 9AM)
Cherokee County residents should prepare for moderate to heavy rainfall beginning today and continuing through Thursday. Rainfall amounts could exceed 3 inches.
Weather Risks:
Flooding: Low to medium chances of minor flooding in poor drainage areas and along the Tombigbee and Black Warrior Rivers.
Severe Storms: Cherokee County is in a Level 1 (out of 5) risk late Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
Potential Threats: Damaging winds up to 60 mph and isolated tornadoes.
